Bazaar: Get the best local gifts Saturday from these awesome makers

Leather goods, local redwood rounds, ceramics made with care and a game around the camp fire — Hacker Lab's first holiday bazaar features a wonderful cohort of member-made gifts.

We've got the second part of our series on our first holiday fair, the "Don't Disappoint Your Mother, Last Chance Holiday Bazaar" — which is this Saturday, Dec. 14 from 11 - 5 p.m.

Drop in to snap photos with your family, sip hot cocoa, listen to live music and check out the rad local vendors — all from Hacker Lab's community! This is Hacker Lab's thanks to our members after a wild year — including a move.

Let's support local! Join us in a couple Saturdays for some good Sacramento cheer.

Come join us! Bring your friends and family. RSVP to the event on Facebook to follow any updates Learn about our vendors below in a series of vignettes that show our awesome community (and check out last week's post for more):

Henry Robinson: Hand-carved birds, decoys, 3-D wall-hangings, carved ornaments

Company: wooden feathers

Henry is a Sacramento-based artist who makes beautiful wooden birds that reside in vintage cages; on wall-hangings accentuated by the natural flow of wood; decoys and more. "I have participated in many local craft shows and display in local shops," Robinson said. "Carving has become an obsession for me. Therapy perhaps. Most of the material I use is old reclaimed redwood or cedar. Although I sometimes create an actual representation of a particular bird, many times I just carve what’s in my head...the IDEA of a bird. I hope you enjoy seeing my little creations."
