Van-build kitchenette, dining table cuts made at Lab feat. in Dwell Magazine Van-build kitchenette, dining table cuts made at Lab feat. in Dwell Magazine

Ryan Morris built this custom kitchenette and dining table for a client’s camper using the Shopbot CNC machine at Hacker Lab! The end result is a stunning modern cabinet that is currently featured in Dwell Magazine.

Ryan (follow on Instagram @yorymo) designed the cabinet using Fusion 360 to model the large bends in the cabinet frame.

The cuts were then made in Baltic Birch plywood using the ShopBot CNC machine for clean and highly precise results.

The countertops & cabinets reveal the timeliness pattern of Baltic Birch plywood on their edge.

On their faces, they sport brightly-colored linoleum for a durable and vibrant finish.

These matching curved cabinets were no small feat! But they turned out incredible and are built to last for a very long time. Dwell Magazine thought so, too.

Want to use the ShopBot yourself? Hacker Lab offers one of the only publicly-available pieces in the Sacramento area. Get started with our courses in design and CNC machining.
